the fat friend of the knockoff Eames chair

I've been thinking a TON about our kitchen re-do. Which is slowly coming together. In my head.

I'm loving the look of the old Herman Miller chairs in the kitchen. They can be easily wiped down, and look like they could "contain a kid," as we'll need them to once we move Lulu out of her high chair.

This one's legit, and is from 1st Dibs.

Initially I found these Eames shell chair knock offs on Amazon:

But today I stumbled on THESE from World Market completely by accident. They're like the fat & lovable friend of the knockoff Eames chair.

Ughh I just love them. I do worry about the upholstery situation in a kitchen, but perhaps a little scotch-guard will do the trick? Anyone ever tried that?

  1. I love this! I have been following the progress on Instagram. Love that you tried something different than reupholstering which can be such a daunting task to so many people wanting to change the look of a chair! Great unique idea!
