we made a bar!

my husband and I had no clue what do do with the odd cut out area of our dining room.. so obviously we made a dry bar.

neither one of us actually drink courvoisier, but we put it there in the hopes that someone might one day ask us to "pass it"

we found the blue fish print in Nantucket this summer and were going to have it reframed, but I'm not sure now... It's a pretty sick fish print.

Here were our inspiration photos

email me if you would like a Pinterest invite. It's awesome. You have the ability to make an online vision board of things that you want, things that inspire you, whatever. It's addicting, fun and puts your bookmarks on a diet.

Ummmmmmmmm.... O'verlays.

This might just be the best thing ever.
Snapshot 2011-07-06 08-21-11

My blogger buddy Danielle found these "O'verlays" online and I am obsessed.

Actually obsessed isn't even the word. But whatever.

The two women that started O'verlays began by redoing these Ikea Pax dressers:

and another one:

Julia B. Linens

If I had a billion dollars I would spend half of it on sheets.

The picture below is how I feel when I am laundering my sheets with my dog in the sun in my backyard with bird helpers:

Julia B. carries a modern and fresh take on classic sheets, with double edging, ribbon ties, and exaggerated scalloped edges, all with classic Porthault-y monograms. Check please.

Madeline Weinrib's Buche Rug costs $1050

and that is too much.
Snapshot 2011-07-02 09-29-39

But this copy cat bad boy is only $299 (naughty Ikea!)
Snapshot 2011-07-02 09-38-12

Both rugs are priced at 8X11 (which has 5 panels instead of 3).

and also, after staring at this picture for hours, it's starting to look like a photo out of a CSI episode. The dead body is to the left on the Ektorp.
