I finished the trays yesterday, and now they look like this:

Here's what I used:

1. Krylon spray paint in Red Gloss

2. Krylon Clear Glaze spray paint

3. Scotch tape (cheaper than painters tape but exactly the same, just not blue)

I taped up the ivory velvet on the back so I didn't get paint on it:

the paint was feeling festive

propped up outside ready to paint:

I'm pretty happy with the results, now I just have to figure out where to put them.
