DIY kid
it's been a while folks. Reason being...... I've been busy making a child. And I can't spray paint. And there's very little motivation to sit down and blog after you've projectile vomited ice water all over your bathroom floor. However, I think I've finally hit the stage where everyone goes "oh it's so wonderful and you feel great". Just took a while. Making a kid is hard work. It's like the hardest "do it yourself" project I think I'll ever do, but project DIY kid is officially underway, with only about 100 days to go (which is insane).
I'm about 6 1/2 months along, feelin groovy, and nesting like a bird on crack.
We're in the midst of re-doing the guest room to make it into a nursery. I'm going off these pics as inspiration. Enjoy
We are going to have a daybed in the nursery thanks to my amazing in-laws (this one: Ballard designs camden day bed). I've heard from many a momma it's a must have when you need to conk out after a midnight feeding/atomic diaper change/etc)
Kelly Wearstler did this one
the color of the walls in the picture above is BM pink harmony, which we are using to paint the nursery.

I've always loved this image. not sure where from
I believe the room above was decorated by my step mother's step mother, Leta Austin Foster (figure that one out), who has a great blog called www.decoratingwithsheets.com
as you can tell we're going for that hodge podge brilliantly thrown together type of look. All wrapped up in monkey fabric (you'll see what I mean in the weeks to come)
